Archilife was established by the founder Lin Chun-shin and started her mission on the collection and classification of publications concerning knowledge in Taipei, ROC.



1986
Archilife launched scholarships to support the students in master courses on various research topics.



Jul 01, 1987
Archilife embarked the study entitled "Specifications of Next Generation Settlements." (a long-term followed-up study on the specifications for the next generation settlements of the Chinese people. The purpose of the study was to set a phased prediction system that was based on the trends of development calibrated by variations and finally, to establish a "Forecast Guided Implementation Plan " system)



May 19, 1991
"Archilife Knowledge Workshop" was established.



Jun 17, 1993
Archilife completed the Inauguration of Archilife Architecture Research Center in Chung Yuan Christian University, Toayuan, Taiwan.



Jun 19, 1994
"Archilife Research Communion" was established.

The first stage assembly of the pioneer team announced "1995 Pioneer Statement."



Jul 01, 1996
The study on "Symbiotic Ecological Environments" was commenced to search the traits of ecological environments and to seek a balanced improvement of living and surroundings. These research groups were organized: Health and Hygiene, Agriculture and Fishery, Space Planning and Construction, Biological Environment, History and Culture, Physical Environment as well as their respective research sub-groups. All the findings of research groups and sub-groups were focused on the theme to integrate a symbiotic living system that is biologically sustainable. With the completion of the Symbiosphere 1 Center in 2002, the study was carried out in a way of real scale experimentation.

Aug 23, 1997
The SONGS team announced "The Declaration of SONGS."



Jun 24, 1998
Archilife completed the inauguration of Archilife Environ-Control Research Center in National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan.

Archilife started to hold annual "Archilife Exhibition" to endorse the value of spiritual civilization.

Archilife participated International Conference on Sustainable Building 2002(SB02Oslo) held in Oslo, Norway, and Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying delivered a keynote speech: "A New Sustainable Approach - Challenge of Subtropical Region" as well as four papers concerning the findings of Archilife were presented.

President Lin Chun-shin inaugurated Symbiosphere 1 center (Archilife Living Research Center) in Fu-long, Taiwan.

The birth of official website of Archilife "Green Paradise : www.archilife.org".



May 21, 2003
Archilife completed the inauguration for the Completion of Symbiotic Cycle in Symbiosphere 1 Center.



Jun 12, 2004
Archilife announced the funding Project for "Research of Symbiosis". Completed the new research structure, transforming from the committed research to competitive research.

The Special Longitude/Latitude Team announced "The Declaration of Special Longitude/Latitude"

Archilife participated International Conference on Sustainable Building 2005 (SB05Tokyo) held in Tokyo, Japan, and Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying introduced new concepts and practical tools called "WILD-TECH".

The second stage assembly of Pioneer Team announced "2006 Pioneer Declaration."



Nov 9, 2006
Archilife Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying led a delegation to take part in iiSBE annual fall board meeting held in Prague, the Czech Republic. The delegation had successfully won the right for Taiwan to host SB07 regional meeting (SB07 Taipei) as well as the priority for Taiwan to establish iiSBE Taiwan.



Jun 2, 2007
Archilife has assisted in the founding of Taiwan Society of Sustainable Built Environment. Archilife Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying served as founding president of the said association. The association was a platform of connection and exchanges between Taiwan and the international community in the field of sustainable building.



Sep 9-12, 2007
Archilife assisted in the holding of SB07 Taipei. At the meeting, Archilife Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying gave a speech entitled "The 100,000-year-period disaster," from Archilife viewpoint.



Sep 19, 2008
Archilife took part in a prior meeting of SB08Melbourne student sessions in Melbourne, Australia. At the meeting, Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying gave a speech entitled "Symbiosis & Beyond." The concept of "GB+Symbiosis=SB" advocated by Archilife became a topic of the said sessions.

At the "SB Regional Policy Reviews" parallel meeting of SB08Melbourne, Archilife Secretary General Judy, Huang Chin-ying, together with Lin Chin-rong, former Director General of Construction and Planning Administration, Ministry of The Interior and Ho Ming-chin, Head of Architectural and Building Research Institute, Ministry of The Interior, gave a speech entitled "SB Regional Report in Taiwan Area."
